The key words there are "once the turbo is on boost". Fitted with the same 2.0-litre engine from the Focus TDCi (and a joint development with Peugeot -- hence the 407's same dimensions), the Mondeo TDCi suffers from more turbo lag than we recall from the Focus -- which was at least blessed with a manual transmission.

siruncle. The transit tdci takes just over 6 litres to fill (including new filter), so you'll need to buy 7. 5w30 oil, and i'd recommend motorcraft oil, as per spec in manual. However, there's nothing wrong with using other brands, and it doesn't have to be fully synthetic or anything like that.
